Peppermint Janitor
An opt-in launch-time cleaner for stale temporary files, caches and traces.
The Janitor is an opt-in space saver. Every time Peppermint starts, it clears files that nothing has used for 72 hours. Your documents, downloads and browser data are never touched.
Enable it
Peppermint asks once whether you want to run the Janitor on every launch. You can also switch it on or off under Settings → Janitor.
What it can clean
- Temporary files
- Usage traces
- Leftover update files
- Application caches
- The recycle bin: files cannot be restored afterwards, so this is off by default
Notifications and manual runs
Janitor results appear as stacked toasts, and you can switch notifications off. Use Clean now to run it on demand.
