Minimal by design
Every feature has to earn its place. If it doesn’t help you get things done, it doesn’t ship.
About
Peppermint is a browser for people who want less noise and more done. Quality of life, looks and performance on top of a solid Firefox base.
Our mission
Modern browsers have become cluttered: endless toolbars, telemetry, sponsored shortcuts and interfaces that fight for your attention. We think the browser should get out of your way.
Peppermint started as a fork of Zen Browser. We loved its calm, vertical-tab interface and wanted to push it further with thoughtful quality-of-life features, a more consistent design and extra care for performance, without piling on bloat.
Underneath, it is still Firefox: a mature engine, a huge extension ecosystem and a strong stance on the open web.
Every feature has to earn its place. If it doesn’t help you get things done, it doesn’t ship.
No telemetry, no studies, no sponsored shortcuts. Hardened defaults, so privacy is not a settings hunt.
Lean builds, off-main-thread work and idle-tab unloading keep the browser light on every machine.
